RPS: Aliceson Carter
Kodachrome – The End

Wednesday 28th November

7pm

Artist Aliceson Carter discusses her recent major project, documenting the last days of kodachrome and her journey to America to deliver her final rolls of kodachrome film to the processing plant.

“… I saved my last roll for the 30th, the last day to hand your film in. Dwayne's very kindly allowed the people who had come on a pilgrimage to the lab to go behind the scenes & take photos, so I milled around with the others trying to capture something of the last moments. Most of the people there were using digital cameras, though there were a couple of Super8 crews. I took care with my shutter button & became more & more anxious as the roll neared 36.”
