Frome Art Society: Spring Exhibition

Open daily from Thursday 30th April until Saturday 9th May. 10am -4pm (closed Monday 4th May)
The late Charles and Vera Appleyard along with Charles Hopkins founded Frome Art Society in 1979 to encourage local people to become involved in painting and drawing in a friendly atmosphere. This burgeoning local group now holds two exhibitions a year, showcasing the work of its members.
The Frome Art Society will return to Rook Lane for their annual springtime exhibition with a set of new works by members in a range of media.
A spokesperson for the society says…
“Every one of these local artists have a unique approach to their creativity, be it detailed botanical work or explosive abstract. Visitors will find so much to interest and delight.
As well as the sensibly priced hung work there will be mounted, unframed work in the browsers which gives an opportunity for the canny shopper to pick up their own original masterpiece at a very reasonable cost.”
All are welcome to the private view from 6-8 pm on Wednesday 29th April.
