Rook Lane Film Night
An Impudent Girl (L’EFFRONTÉE). 1985. This study of a French teenager's fitful coming of age and her quest for an acceptable role-model is a vividly entertaining portrayal of teenage angst and was the impressive film debut of Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Ruth Phelps – The Painted Garden
Ruth Phelps worked tirelessly to promote the arts in Frome. This exhibition of her oil painting and drawing celebrates her unique talent and how she used it to share a constant delight in the natural world. All work has been lent from private collections.

Film Night Special: Robin Hardy Talk – director of The Wicker Man
Robin Hardy, the director of the cult 1970s film “The Wicker Man” pays a visit to Rook Lane to discuss his work and the making of the iconic horror film which inspired generations of film-makers and artists with its surreal intersection of ritual and religion. This will be followed by a screening of Robin’s latest release, and sequel to the 1970s classic, “The Wicker Tree”.
