Tree of Life Exhibition

12th – 15th March 2008

10.00am – 4.00pm

A 'Tree of Frome Life' is growing in Rook Lane this January, as artist Kate Lynch works with artists of all ages to create a 'welcoming artwork' for the reception area of the new Frome Hospital. The project is one of a programme of exciting art commissions developed by Somerset Primary Care Trust, designed to enhance the environment of the new hospital which opens in June 2008.

The Tree of Frome Life community painting is made up of a series of boards, which will be touring more than 12 different community venues where different groups will be adding their own characters, before final installation on site in 2008.

The 'Tree of Frome Life' community painting has been made possible through a joint partnership between Somerset Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Rook Lane Arts. The project has been funded through a generous private bequest to Somerset PCT, with additional funding from an Awards for All Grant awarded to Rook Lane Arts.

If you would like to see the Tree of Life community painting before it is framed and installed in Frome’s new hospital, the work will be on show in the Rook Lane Arts Café from 12th – 15th March 10.00am - 4.00pm.
