A new comedy by Douglas McFerran

A country road and a bus that will not come, leads to a surreal vigil for disgraced superstar Godfrey Blackstone, and totally unknown mediocrity, Harold Taylor.

This hilarious new play, featuring Peter Bourke and Douglas McFerran, is about to embark on an extensive tour, and is scheduled to appear at the Tricycle Theatre Kilburn in 2010.

Peter Bourke trained at R A D A has worked for the R S C winning Best Newcomer for his performance as Boy in Henry V... and seven plays for the National Theatre  including Razor in the Provoked Wife... in the west end Dial M for Murder,  Exclusive , When we are Married , End Game which Peter actor Managed, giving Samuel Beckets play it's West End premier... On television Peter had a BAFTA  nomination for his performance as Smike in Nicholas Nickleby... has appeared in David Copperfield , Mayor of Casterbridge a Regular Character in Traffic and Hazel... most recently seen in Dr Who!

Douglas McFerran is an actor and writer who will be recognised for his significant roles in the films "Sliding Doors" and "Johnny English", as well as major TV parts including "Darren", in "Birds of a Feather"; and starring roles in episodes of "Frost"; "The Bill"; "Emmerdale" and "The Chief". He has performed with the National Theatre company and in the West End, notably under the direction of Peter Hall as "Joey" in Pinter's "The Homecoming". He later appeared at The Comedy Theatre in Pinter's "No Man's Land" and was also directed by Pinter in "Twelve Angry Men". He has extensive experience as a writer including working on a Hollywood adaptation of "David Copperfield". Following extensive touring, "Bring on the Dancing Poodles" is scheduled to appear at the Tricycle Theatre Kilburn in 2010.
