Benjamin Baker and The 39 Steps

Marvel at the scale of Benjamin Baker’s most iconic achievement, the Forth Rail Bridge, in his own words and on the big screen. Sir Benjamin (James Laurenson) delivers his wonderful 1887 Royal Society lecture, ‘Bridging the Firth of Forth’, followed by a special screening of Hitchcock’s ‘The 39 Steps’ (1935), featuring Robert Donat’s dashing Forth Bridge escape.
