Melanie Pappenheim and Rebecca Askew present FLAM

Sunday 25th October 2009

2.30 and 4.30pm performances (2 x 60 minute performances)

ArtMusic are delighted to be able to re-schedule this unique piece of voice theatre postponed from Frome Festival 09 due to illness.

Two women meet for coffee; they greet each other and sing together.

Composed by Orlando Gough and directed by Emma Bernard, this encounter explores the vocal, physical and comic skills of two extraordinary performers.

Melanie Pappenheim (the ethereal voice on ‘Doctor Who’) and jazz singer Rebecca Askew are “quite brilliant. They gossip, compete, sympathise and conduct a hilarious singing lesson in unison and counterpoint. Witty, touching, virtuosic, it’s a gem.” (Sunday Telegraph).

Food Frome will be serving teas from 2-6 pm. There will be savoury bites, sweet delights and refreshing teas for you to enjoy before/after a concert. These refreshments are not included in the price of the ticket.

Admission

Tickets £6/£5 (18 and under) available from Artmusic on 01373 467201.

2.30 and 4.30pm performances (2 x 60 minute performances)
