Despite working closely together over the past twenty years as designers and art directors in film and TV, this is the first time Hayden and Thomas have exhibited their artwork together. “We’ve talked about it for years, and now it is happening it’s both exciting and scary” says Haydn.

Since leaving the Royal College of Art, Hayden has continued to paint alongside a successful career as a Production Designer. Primarily figurative, his work has evolved over the years, with a strong narrative quality displaying the inevitable influence of the medium of film on is work.

Thomas is one half of D.D. Designer Blacksmith Ltd, a company he runs with his wife producing large scale public art works in steel. Alongside this his personal work consists of machine worked and hand-carved kinetic stone pieces that combine the beautifully engineered alongside the rawness of materials.

For this exhibition Tom will be creating a group of balance pieces that seem to defy gravity through subtle movement.
