Steve Knightley

Saturday 20th February 2010

Performance 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm)

Steve Knightley, the songwriting force behind Show of Hands, who are widely acknowledged as the finest acoustic roots duo in England, also enjoys success as a solo artist. He is renowned for his strong, trademark narrative songs which reflect our escapades, hopes and fears. He pulls no punches when writing highly literate songs about bigger, global issues.

"There's a reason why Knightley has been called, 'one of England's greatest singer-songwriters' and you'll find evidence enough of his obvious abilities in these nakedly honest songs of hurt and hope” – BBC Music

Plus support from Jenna

Six years ago she co-wrote the haunting 'Seven Days' - one of the highlights of 'Show of Hands' 'Country Life' CD. Then with Steve Knightley and Mercury prize nominee, Seth Lakeman, she recorded 'Western Approaches'.

"Staggering maturity, winning delivery, and an abundance of natural talent. An irresistible example of superior acoustic music" Daily Telegraph
