The organisers of this concert regret having to cancel this concert just before Frome festival tickets went on sale on Sunday 9th May.

The four piece band, Eclectica, were unable to find a suitable replacement for their violinist, Lizzie Ball, who is also the group's vocalist. Ms Ball found herself unexpectedly unavailable. Unfortunately for Frome she had suddenly been presented with the opportunity of a lifetime and while she hated to let the Frome Festival audience down, the organisers of this concert agreed to let her break their contract.

The future of Eclectica is in doubt and a replacement or postponed gig is not on the cards.

Jo Plimmer of Rook Lane Arts said "these things happen from time to time and we just have to take it on the chin and in our stride. It is very frustrating as a huge amount of hard work goes on behind the scenes to organise an event like this. Fortunately no tickets had yet been sold and I can only apologise, on behalf of RLAT, to disappointed punters." There are many other exciting events taking place at Rook Lane Chapel during the Festival.
