Tea Concert 3: Tyburn String Quartet

Doors 5.15pm / Concert 6pm

The Tyburn String Quartet came together in their second year at the Royal Academy of Music. They have subsequently performed extensively around the UK. In London they have appeared at St. Martin in the Fields, The Royal Opera House and The Royal Festival Hall.

One of the most notable projects the Quartet has worked on while at the Royal Academy was a reduction of Haydn’s ‘Clock Symphony’ with Trevor Pinnock which they played live on BBC Radio 3.

In 2010 the Tyburn String Quartet was the recipient of the John Baker Award at the Royal Academy, as a result of which they have been coached by the distinguished Vanbrugh and Skampa String Quartets .

Doors open at 5.15pm when tea and biscuits will be served. Concert will begin at 6pm and last one hour, without an interval.

Admission

Tickets cost £18 for series of three teatime concerts - £10 for 21 and under. Individual tickets can be purchased on the door - £8 for adults and £4 for 21 and under.
