Giles Ford Art Exhibition

9 July – 19 August 2011 2011

Open Tues – Sat 10am – 4pm

Inspired by ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’, - ‘To the land where the Bong Tree grows’ is a playful exploration of the land where the Bong Tree grows. What did the owl and the pussycat experience on their journey? What did they find when they got there? What does a bong tree look like?

Includes drop-in family Bong Tree workshops on Saturday 9 July and Saturday 16 July from 11am - 12.30pm.

Giles Ford, the artist and writer, is represented by Bath Fine Arts and Kobalt Gallery in Provincetown, USA. Aubrey Ford (his father) is a children’s portraitist working mainly in pencil. A student of Fine Art at the Florence Academy of Art and the Accademia di Belli Arti, his delicate and sensitive portrayals of children capture the beauty, innocence and hopefulness of youth. During Frome Festival weekends, Aubrey will be ‘in residence’ at Rook Lane Chapel, offering families free portraits (1 to 2 hour sittings) of young people between the ages of 4 and 18).

Admission

Exhibition: Free.
