Men with Horns perform ‘Nightsong in the snow’ with Cornucopia horn quartet - conducted by Mike Daniels, with soloist Niall Hoskin and Steven Hollas piano.

This new group of professional musicians made its first appearance at the Wiltshire Music Centre last summer, performing Schubert's 'Nachtgesang im Walde' (Nightsong in the Forest) for men's choir and horn quartet. Here is another chance to hear this wonderfully Romantic partsong alongside Bruckner's 'Abendzauber', excerpts from Wagner's 'Tannhäuser' ( the Pilgrims' chorus and 'Romance to the evening star') and a selection of solos from Schubert's 'Winterreise' sung by Niall Hoskin (baritone).

Cornucopia horn-players are Paul Sawbridge, Steve Macallister, Alistair Smith and Allen Cheshire; Mike Daniels will conduct the choir of 16 men and Steven Hollas plays a Broadwood grand piano from 1825, completely restored by Frome craftsman Christopher Barlow.
