Three new generation concerts featuring rising stars from The Royal Academy of Music.

SUNDAY 13th MAY, 5.30pm

Diane Aidenbaum, violin
Aude Giuliano, accordian

Both members of this French/Italian duo have won plaudits and prizes all over Europe. Recent projects include transcribing the Debussy piano pieces they will include in this programme. In addition they will play works by Bruch, Elgar and Granados.

SUNDAY 27th MAY, 5.30pm

Cymbiotic Percussion Duo

A thrilling programme of rhythmic delight and tuned percussion. From Mozart to Piazolla. James Bower has worked regularly with the CBSO under conductors like Dudamel, Litton and Oramo while Ross Garrod has performed with the Halle and the RPO.

SUNDAY 10th JUNE, 5.30pm

Venti Quintet

We conclude the series with a wonderful wind band performing Barber’s Summer Music, Ibert’s Three Short Pieces and wind quintets by  Francaix and Nielsen. The seductive sounds of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn - a perfect end to a summer afternoon.
