An evening of talks, entertainment and dancing with food by Ebbie’s Kitchen, Bar and Raffle with a celebrity guest speaker to be announced. Tony is raising money for CRUK by hosting this ball as well as hiking across Snowdonia this year, followed by a 1000 mile treck in Iceland. He will tell of his inspirational fight with cancer since he was 19

Join us for two acoustic sets, including singer-songwriter Phil Cooper, recently featured on BBC Radio 6 BBC Music Introducing show with Tom Robinson.
Sara Vian will be performing a 30-40min set at the exquisite Rook Lane
We’re also delighted to announce that local legend and the mind behind Glastonbury Festival, Michael Eavis, will be giving a talk and taking questions at WHYacoustic.
WHY receives no central government funding so relies on community fundraising and the generosity of individuals and grant-making trusts to survive.

“Light up a Life” Dorothy House service of light

Held in the weeks running up to Christmas, the services take place in venues across the area served by the Hospice. The services all start at 6pm, last around 45 minutes and include readings, carols and the opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one. The services are open to everyone.
