Architecture Club Presents… “Outraged – Ian Nairn arrives on the scene” by Gillian Darley

Gillian Darley is a writer, biographer and broadcaster. Her journalism includes a monthly column in Building Design.  With David McKie she co-authored Ian Nairn: Words in Place and in 2014 she became President of the Twentieth Century Society. Gillian will talk about the journey that Nairn made from the RAF to the Architectural Review, the publication of Outrage  and its companion volume Counter-attack,  and where the campaign he instigated led him.

 

ARCHITECTURE CLUB, FROME is a collaborative project initiated by Pippa Goldfinger, NVB / Rook Lane and RIBA South West. The project will bring architects, architectural writers, engineers and planners to Frome in order to stimulate a wide-reaching debate
