Frome Concerts Group Present: Baroque Alchemy
Sunday 27th October
Doors 2.15pm Concert 3pm
Lindy Mayle – electronic keyboards & Piers Adams – recorders
Baroque Alchemy is a unique fusion of old and new, bringing together the simplicity of one of the earliest wind instruments, the recorder, with the 21st century technological wizardry of the electronic keyboard. The repertoire, mostly drawn from the baroque era, explores the myriad possibilities of this combination in a variety of ways – from the authentic reproduction of acoustic instruments to space-age sound worlds of which the composers could only have dreamed. Baroque Alchemy’s vision is to break free from the constraints of the classical music world and reimagine some of their favourite music in a way which they hope is engaging and inspiring.
