Architecture Club Presents…Walter Segal and the Self Build Revolution with Duncan Roberts
Tuesday 2nd May
Doors 7pm//Talk 7:30pm
In the 1970s Walter Segal developed a radical approach to affordable housing which allowed community groups to build their own cheap, easy-to-construct timber-framed homes on sites that were unsuitable for conventional housing.
As an architecture student Duncan Roberts worked with Walter Segal constructing (& dismantling) several of his buildings. This talk will look at Segal’s own radical roots & how his method of construction continues to empower today’s self-builders.
