Introduction
Rook Lane processes three categories of data:
- Email addresses for people receiving the email newsletter
- Contact details for volunteers and staff
- Contact details for people hiring the venue for an event, or booking a ticket.
Lawful Basis
We are required to state our lawful basis for handling the data that we use. We have undertaken a review of the GDPR regulations and determined that the lawful basis for processing this data is either:
Consent – in the case of the newsletter – subscribers have signed up to our newsletter via our website, or
Contract – in the case of the volunteers, staff and hirers. We need to hold the contact details of these people in order to be able to fulfil our contract with them.
Data Handling
When you sign up to receiving our email newsletter on our website, we hold your email address and full name in order to be able to send you the newsletter. We handle the email using our email service, Campaign Monitor. You may unsubscribe at any point using the unsubscribe box on our website which may also be accessed via this link www.rooklane.org.uk/newsletters/ When you unsubscribe, we will delete all the data we hold for you (name and email address) from our records.
Rook Lane is operated by NVB Architects whose address is also Rook Lane Chapel. We do not share your data with any third parties and use it only for the purpose described above.
Our data is held on a secure server using industry best practice.
