Shirley Collins: America over the Water

Sunday 12th July

Their field recordings feature in the George Clooney film Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?

Shirley’s memoir America Over The Water cuts her Southern journey with touching tales of growing up in wartime Hastings. Readings and more by Shirley, with actor Pip Barnes, and pictures and recordings from the trip.
