Men with Horns – Nightsong in the Spring

Men with Horns return to Rook Lane for an early evening sprigtime concert, with a programme that includes choral and solo songs by Schumann and Schubert (Nightsong in the Forest, the Gondolier, Widerspruch), plus Weber’s popular Hunters’ chorus.

We have wondered for several years how a solo cello programme would be received as part of our Coffee Concert series. In the end we felt that a pairing in which the cello is an equal partner to the violin would be more widely appreciated.
