Exploring Forgiveness
Sunday 15th March
10am to 11.30am
Forgiveness is something most of us struggle with. It can feel confusing, impossible, and often deeply unfair – but it’s also arguably the most powerful way to release the emotional burdens we carry. This introductory talk offers a fresh, practical look at what forgiveness really is, what it isn’t and how it can make a genuine difference to your mental and emotional health.
If you’re feeling stuck over old hurts, anger, or regret, this session will introduce forgiveness as a practice to help you find deeper peace within. You’ll explore the impacts of forgiveness – on your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Forgiveness is never about saying that what happened was okay; it’s about finding freedom and moving on from the past..
We’ll also talk about why forgiveness can be so hard, and the most common obstacles that get in our way. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what helps and what doesn’t, along with simple ways to start practicing forgiveness in your own life.
This workshop is a practical way of imagining more kindness—for yourself, for others, and for the world around you. When you decide to let go of a resentment, your heart lightens up, and makes space so more love can flow through you and into your world.
Please bring a notebook / something to write with or on. This session will be led by Barbara J Hunt
