Kindness to Ourselves through Movement and Dance

Sunday 15th March

2pm to 5pm

We probably danced before we talked. Moving our bodies is part of being kind to ourselves and brings us in contact with others and with our environment. Dance gives us the freedom to move and become more joyfully empowered.

In this Dance Event you are invited to participate in three very different styles of dance. We will start with the luxurious curves and fluid moves of the Middle East, progress to connecting with the power and earthiness of Africa and finish with the calm and meditative moves of the Circle Dance, a form of dance that stretches across continents and cultures, and connects us both to our inner selves and to the world around us.

We invite you to join in the experience of all three dances as a journey in music and movement. It is also possible to join for just one or two sessions of the three.

Wear loose comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement and soft shoes suitable for dancing

Bring a scarf large enough to tie round your hips for the Middle Eastern dance

Admission

Please only book a free ticket if you would otherwise be unable to attend. Suggested donation of £10 for the three sessions and £5 for an individual one
