Open Storytellers presents: The Bardic Chair Storytelling competition with Mr Rook’s Speak Easy.

This year the Bardic Chair Story Telling competition sees Mr Rook’s Speak Easy collaborating with Open Storytellers. Come along to tell or listen to tall tales, myths and stories.

Frome Art Fair

Saturday 24th September, 10am – 4:30pm

For one day only in September we see the launch of the first Frome Art Fair, curated and coordinated by Rose Langley. Held across three venues, Rook Lane, Black Swan Arts and the Silk Mill the fair will give art lovers the chance to view and buy a wide selection of art from over 50 artists and makers.

Teatime Concerts: Fiata Winds

Sunday 27th September

Doors 3.30pm//4:15pm

The autumn 2015 teatime concert series kicks off with Fiata Winds.

Amy Campbell, flute, together with Alexandra Heeley, clarinet, and Rachel Williams, cello, studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where they came together in this novel ensemble.

Fiata Winds bring a delightfully varied programme of short transcriptions from the likes of Telemann, Dvorak and Malcolm Arnold, as well as Joao Paulo Machado’s ‘Hommage a Shostakovich’ for flute, clarinet and cello.

 

£9 per concert (£5 if 21 or younger) ~ includes refreshments before the concert (3.30-4.10pm).
